Welcome to Kentucky and Bourbon Country. This simple flight plan takes on part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Not an actual trail but is the name of the program sponsored by the Kentucky Distillers' Association to promote the bourbon industry in Kentucky. With over 40 distilleries on the trail and over 2 million visitors a year, this flight plan takes you on a handful of labels. All bourbon is whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon. The flight starts at Bowman Field (KLOU) and ends with our landing at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport (KLEX). We will be flying over the bluegrass region on Kentucky with its slight rolling hills and green fields. Inside MSFS, the scenery may not be perfect to show the unique architecture of some of the distilleries, but this flight plan is a salute to the industry and the hard-working people that bring these spirits to us.
